Good evening to you all.
A few words about myself,
Now 61, I have been raised on a diet of Meccano (hence my nickname), Dinky Toys, Hornby Dublo and Airfix kits. My first car was a Mini Cooper and I have owned a variety of british made cars including Ford Anglias, Mg Metro Turbo,Rover 800 coupe and Rover 75. I now drive an MG ZTT.
I am also the very happy owner of the only Singer Vogue Estate in Italy. She is a 1962 LHD Mk II with overdrive in Sage green/ Smoke green with green trim.
She was sold new as a special import to a wealthy gentleman in Genova (my home town) and still carries the original licence plate. The car has never been fully restored and remains in very good shape .She is now undergoing a spot of recommissioning after a long time in storage and I have no plans to part with her.
I wonder if anybody knows how many were made in LHD and know of any other worldwide.

Luciano Luppi

Ciao Meccano

I have a LHD Super Minx Estate which I currently recommissioning prior to moving to Budapest later this year. It is the same car as yours, just a lower specification. At the moment I am in the UK, but from late August I will be a lot closer to you in Hungary. I will possibly be touring the Alps in it during the summer of 2014, or possibly going to Morocco via Spain - so if I ever do come near to Genoa in my Minx, I'll let you know.

The Vogue is the rarer model of the Super Minx/Singer Vogue/Humber Sceptre - and the estates were only officially made in the Vogue/Super Minx version, but it is believe that as small number of Sceptre estates were produced. The most likely place to find other ones, these days, would be in the US. I know of at least one more Super Minx Estates in Spain.

Regards

Andy
